Mahr Elder, DDS, MD

Talented, board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Mahr Elder, DDS, MD also owns and operates the Elder Group of advanced oral and maxillofacial surgery centers in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to leading a thriving local business, Dr. Elder maintains his professional skills and offers a comprehensive range of surgical services, including extractions, dental implants, and oral pathology. 

Dr. Elder is an alumnus of the University of the Pacific, in San Francisco. He earned both his bachelor’s and doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degrees at the prestigious university. After completing his DDS, Dr. Elder moved to Detroit, where he earned his medical degree at Wayne State University. He perfected his oral and maxillofacial surgery skills while serving his residency at the University of Detroit Henry Ford Hospital.  

Outside of his busy professional life, Dr. Elder donates his time and expertise to local residents in need of orthodontics and advanced dental care. Dr. Elder has been a long time community advocate and volunteer. He began volunteering his skills while working on his DDS. He providing dental exams and prevention education for underserved San Francisco residents while participating in the Student Community Outreach for Public Education (SCOPE).
